Happy Feature Friday! Just popping in super quickly to do a short highlight Dia D Juegos , the largest board game store in Peru!
We happen to run into this place by accident, as it was just around the block from our hotel; what luck! 😃
This place is amazing! Fantastic selection of all kinds of game genres (euros, party, kids, collectibles, etc). We saw lots of people there of all ages, both shopping and playing games of various types.
Of course we couldn’t go and not get something! We opted for two great finds! First, a replacement copy of our No Thanks that is currently falling apart. We needed something small and fairly language independent, but also wanted something unique to here. I’ve never seen this version of No Thanks before, have you? The art is hilarious and fantastic! They all show various silly things you would definitely say “no, thanks” to (I love how # 3 is a dream of something bad happening, and # 35 it is actually happening lol). Way better than our lame boring number version. I also like how the cards are just slightly bigger, to better accommodate many chips being put on them.
We also grabbed a copy of Capibara Rescue at the last second. I know nothing about it and could find very little info during a brief online search at the store, but we have friends going through tough times at the moment who love cabybaras and appreciate niche finds like this, so I think it’ll make a fantastic gift for them.
If you’re ever in the San Isidro neighborhood of Lima, definitely check this place out! They have a fantastic selection!
