Feature Friday: The Board Room Game Cafe

Today’s Feature Friday is on The Board Room Game Cafe in Halifax, Nova Scotia! They describe themselves by saying “The Board Room Game Cafe is the first cafe of its kind in the Maritimes! Featuring a large Board Gaming area with a collection of 700+ games to play (teachers included!), The Board Room is a unique experience with espresso drinks, local craft beer and soda, tasty sandwiches, snacks and an extensive retail area.” This place was recommended to us by a couple of people, and I can certainly see why! They had a reasonable retail space, a thriving cafe, and most importantly- a great gaming library!

There were so many different menus and options, it was hard to pick what to play! I was impressed by their selection, having both tons of classics and new hotness to choose from. In the end, we went with Star Wars Outer Rim & Pina Coladice.

We got some coffee and a cinnamon pretzel to go with it, and if we’d been hungrier I might have looked at some of their dips and other snack options that looked tasty as well. There were tons of groups gaming around us, playing a variety of things, and well catered to by the staff. This is right in the heart of Halifax and a great gem in the city!
