Single Serve ‘Nutella’ Stuffed Oreo Double Chocolate Chip Cookie

I happen to have some vegan “Nutella” (this one) kicking around in the pantry from making crepes a few months ago and yeah, eyeing it every time I opened the pantry was a dangerous game of chicken I was playing with myself. How long could I wait to use it and what delicious recipe would I find for it? Found it! Also, Oreos, because, why not? This recipe said ‘single serve’, and I was making it for two, so of course I doubled it. I may have inadvertently missed the part where it said “GIANT” in big bold letters lol. Freudian slip? Mayyybeee…. Anyway, yes these were giant and rich and amazing with ice cream. If you’re really in the mood for an indulgent treat, this is it! Thanks Banana Diaries for this one! Going in the vault!

Targi

Targi is one of the earlier two player games we added to our collection after hearing such great things about it. It is a fantastic design. In it, you are building up your encampments in the deserts of North Africa or some such thing. The gist of the game mechanics are that you have three workers you place one at a time on the outer edges of the board. Then your two assistants go where they intersect and you get the things on all the cards you placed on. Problem is, your opponent is doing the same thing, and there’s also a robber. Boo. You cannot place 1) where the robber is 2) where your opponent is 3) across from your opponent. This makes every decision critical and full of angst and tension. There are some highly sought after cards like the Caravan and Gold, and any placement involving those is prime. The cards are mostly a combination of goods (dates, salt, pepper, gold) or tribes (paid for with the goods). You want to build up your grid of 4×3 tribe cards, ideally so that each row is the same tribe to get you the most points, or at least all different (to get you a few more points). This game is as mechanically fantastic as was described, but do approach it with the attitude of grace (no, your opponent probably isn’t trying to block you. They just also really really want gold lol). Give this classic a try!
